Empowering Internships

A young woman shares her experiences and lessons learned with her peers as part of an internship program.

Challenge: Develop a high-impact sizzle reel for the National Park Foundation’s InternX program (now InternXL), working solely from a raw Zoom recording and without preexisting creative assets.
Strategy: Curated a resonant narrative moment from over an hour of unscripted dialogue, then led concept development, visual direction, and full production of a stylized animated piece voiced by a young African American intern and brought to life through culturally aligned collaboration.
Result: Premiered by the National Park Foundation to showcase the power of its internship programs, the film received acclaim from key philanthropic partners and led to expanded creative engagements with one of the foundation’s largest funders.
